Meghalaya

Meghalaya, or the adobe of clouds, is a state of incredible natural beauty. This is a land steeped in myth and legend, every waterfall is a dancing maiden and every peak a silent warrior. When the british chanced upon this enchanting land, they were so smitten that they made shillong, the capital, a patch that remains ‘forever england’. Its shinning mists, winding country lanes and gardens awash with phlox, pansies, roses and orchids, can easily be mistaken for Devonshire or Sussex. Every nook and corner of the state lends itself to picnics, treks and nature walks. Its rolling dales and valleys carpeted in green also make it a golfer’s paradise.
